Are the products suitable for food contact?
Yes, the majority of the buckets, containers and packaging products in our range are intended for direct contact with food.
These products comply with the relevant European and national requirements for food contact materials. These include, in particular, Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and, for plastic packaging, Regulation (EU) No 10/2011.
Important: General food contact compliance does not automatically mean that a packaging product is suitable for every type of food or every application. When selecting the appropriate packaging, factors such as the type and composition of the product to be filled, filling temperature, contact time, as well as storage and processing conditions should be taken into account.
On our product pages, you will therefore find – where relevant and available for the respective product – additional information regarding high-temperature applications, suitability for freezing, temperature resistance, as well as storage and processing instructions.
Our range also includes products that are not intended for food contact, such as certain products made from recycled materials or packaging designed for technical applications.
You can identify whether a product is suitable for food contact by the performance symbols displayed with the respective product. An explanation of these symbols can be found in the legend further down on this page.
Upon request, we will be happy to provide the available Declaration of Compliance (DoC) for the packaging products you have purchased from us.
