Are the products kosher?

Our packaging products are made from pure plastics and contain no animal-based ingredients. However, since raw materials and additives may vary between suppliers, our products are not generally classified as “kosher.”

A binding assessment can therefore only be made on a product-by-product basis upon request. We are happy to check individual items for kosher conformity or certification options if required.

Kosher Classification of Packaging Materials

Criterion Description Relevance for Bikapack Products
Basic Definition “Kosher” refers to materials and products that comply with Jewish dietary laws (Kashrut) and are free from contact with non-kosher substances. Our packaging materials are made from synthetic polymers (PP, PE, PET, PA) without animal-derived ingredients.
General Classification Packaging materials are considered non-food products and therefore not automatically kosher-certified. Bikapack products are not generally kosher-certified and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Material Composition Pure thermoplastics are typically neutral; differences may arise from colorants or additives. Evaluation is carried out product-specifically based on material and additive data.
Certification Kosher certification can only be issued by recognized organizations (e.g. Orthodox Union, OK, KLBD). Upon request and subject to additional cost, certification or review can be arranged.
Responsibility The responsibility for compliance with kosher requirements lies with the filling company or brand owner. Bikapack supports customers by providing the necessary material and compliance documentation.
Documentation Material declarations and conformity statements can be used for kosher evaluation. Available upon request for defined product lines.
