Custom Printed Buckets & Cups with IML

Many of our plastic buckets, cups and lids can be supplied with customised IML decoration (In-Mould Labelling) on a project basis. With the IML process, the printed label is integrated into the packaging during production. This allows detailed, multi-colour and even photorealistic designs.

Which products can be customised with IML and which minimum order quantities apply depends on the respective product and production project. Process A pre-printed label is placed in the injection mould during production and bonded to the packaging. Decoration and production of the packaging take place within the same manufacturing process.
Design Depending on the product, multi-colour, detailed and photorealistic designs are possible. Logos, product images, text and individual designs can be integrated into the packaging design.
IML Area The available decoration area depends on the geometry and design of the respective bucket, cup or lid. We check the available IML area for the product you require.
Product Selection Not every product in our range is available with customised IML decoration. We check which buckets, cups or lids are suitable and available for your specific IML project.
Minimum Quantity The required minimum quantity is product-specific and depends on factors including the product, manufacturer and IML specification. We determine the technically and economically feasible production quantity for your project.
Print Data Dimensions, print area and print-data requirements are specified for the respective product. The required files, templates and approvals are agreed with you before production.
Integration The IML label is bonded to the packaging during the manufacturing process. No subsequent application of a conventional adhesive label is required for the IML decoration.
Recycling The materials and construction of both the packaging and IML label should be considered together when assessing recyclability. Actual recyclability depends on the complete packaging design as well as the respective collection, sorting and recycling infrastructure.

What Do We Need for an IML Enquiry?

For an initial assessment, please provide the product you require, the planned quantity and a brief description of the desired design. If you already have a draft design, logo or finished print files, you are also welcome to send these to us.

Minimum quantities, available IML areas, print-data requirements and technical possibilities vary depending on the product and manufacturer. We therefore assess each IML project individually.
