How should the products be stored before filling?

Our supplied empty containers and lids should always be stored in a clean, dry environment protected from UV light. The ambient temperature should not exceed 30 °C.

Only under these conditions is full functionality and material quality ensured. Keep a minimum distance of approximately one meter from radiators or other heat sources. We recommend using the products for their intended purpose (filling) within 6 months of delivery.

Please note that these instructions apply only to empty packaging. We cannot provide binding information regarding the storage of filled containers, as this depends on the specific product, formulation, and processing conditions.

The user is therefore responsible for conducting appropriate storage and shelf-life tests under real conditions.

Recommended Storage Conditions for Plastic Packaging

To maintain the quality and functionality of our packaging, please follow these storage and handling recommendations. They apply to pails, cups, lids and similar injection-moulded PP items.

Criterion Recommendation Note
Temperature range 15 – 25 °C Do not store below +5 °C (risk of brittleness) or above +40 °C (risk of deformation).
Relative humidity 40 – 70 % Avoid condensation and excessive dryness.
Light & UV protection Store in enclosed, light-protected areas. UV exposure may cause colour changes and material ageing.
Stacking height Maximum as indicated on packaging or pallet label. Overloading can lead to permanent deformation or damage.
Surface / floor Clean, dry, level and free from dust and chemicals. Contaminants can affect lid fit and sealing surfaces.
Storage time Max. 24 months from delivery date Recommended: FIFO principle (“First In – First Out”) for quality assurance.

Note

The values provided serve as guidance for optimal storage conditions. Direct sunlight, large temperature fluctuations or improper stacking may cause deformation, sealing issues or visual deviations.
